We at Snells Entreprenad AB are looking for machine operators for the summer (wheel loader, grader, excavator) for LKAB's mining area in Svappavaara, Kiruna municipality.

If you do not live on-site, we arrange accommodation at cost price. Start date according to agreement.

About our assignment in Svappavaara

We have signed a contract with LKAB for raw material transport, stock management, additives, and road maintenance in Svappavaara. The assignment includes, among other things, loading materials in the plant, loading train cars, transporting materials with a forklift within the area, service work with wheel loaders, and road maintenance in the form of snow removal, sanding, watering, and more.

Job Responsibilities

As a machine operator in this project, your main task will be to operate a wheel loader or grader, but other vehicles may also be included.

As a machine operator, you will work with colleagues to load materials into pockets, mix raw material, load train cars, and load forklifts. We will also have wheel loaders for service work in pellet plants and concentration plants.

We are also tasked with maintaining all production roads within our contractual area, and we use graders for this.

In addition to operating your vehicle safely and efficiently, you should be active and contribute to a good working environment at the workplace, as well as identify improvement opportunities and assist management with this.

Qualifications

• A valid B driver's license is required.
• Professional competence certificate for wheel loaders, graders, and excavators is an advantage.
• A C driver's license is a plus.
• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Working Hours and Salary

• Working hours: Shift work 7/7 or K5
• Salary: According to collective agreement with IF Metall Mining Contract.
• Employment conditions: Temporary position during regular staff's vacation
